Hair Removal by Waxing Method

Waxing

Some women have superfluous hair on their face. It should either be removed with wax depilatories or with chemical depilatories. Facial hair, if not too much and too thick, can be bleached.

Wax depilatory is the best form, as it weakens the growth of hair and leaves the surface smooth and soft.

After melting the wax in a double boiler, apply it over the, skin with a spatula. Now press a piece of cloth on wax and quickly pull off the adhered cloth against the direction of hair growth. Now apply some antiseptic cream or cold cream over the waxed area.

Wax depilatory should not be applied over any extra sensitive part of the body like under arms or an over inflamed skin.

The depilatory cream method also, gives a smooth and silky finish to the face. But it does not suit some,., people. So before applying it over the facial skin, apply some on your wrist to test. If your skin does not develop any rash or swelling, only then apply this cream depilatory over the facial skin. Leave it on for about five minutes and wash off with warm water. Then apply some vaseline over the treated area.

There are many simple items which can be used tornoiurishing the skin, like vinegar, buttermilk, yoghurt, eggs, oils, fruits and vegetables.

A face mask can be prepared at home with any of theabove mentioned ingredients mixed with some binding substance like egg white or buttermilk for an oily skin and banana, multani mitti, almond paste or egg yolk for a dry skin. Eggwhite and buttermilk are too drying. So they are good for oilyskins only.

Peanut oil, olive oil and almond oil are used as facial nourishers.

Different fruits and vegetables have different effects on the. facial skin. Some are good for a dry skin and some contain an acid, which has a drying effect on an oily skin.

Melon, olive, lettuce and carrot are good for a dry skin..

Onion, banana, tomato, cucumber and fig are natural foods.

Most of the citric foods like lime, grapes, pineapple, apple, vinegar, honey and glycerine as well as lanolin can be added to any face mask. All of them have healing and nourishing qualities for the skin.

Leave any face mask on for about thirty minutes, cover your eyes with cotton pads soaked in rose water and put your feet up, higher than your head and relax.

The simplest face mask for an oily skin is egg white mixed with a few drops of vinegar or lemon.

For a dry skin, egg yolk with a few drops of vinegar and a few drops of almond oil or peanut or olive oil are good. You may break a capsule of Vitamin E and add to face mask ingredients for an extra dry skin.

These two above mentioned masks can be used as quick preparty masks as they are quite effective if washed off after 15 minutes.
