Tips on treating Freckles

Lime juice is a mild bleach. Pat it on freckles and do not wash till absolutely dry.

Buttermilk also acts as a mild bleach because it contains an acid. Pat it on freckles and leave till dry.

Four tablespoons of grated radish and a few drops of vinegar make an effective bleaching paste.

You can boil grated horse radish in milk to make a mild bleach.

Boil fresh green beans, mash and apply on freckles as poultice.

Mix 2 ounces of lemon juice to one ounce of rum and apply on freckles.

If you want a strong bleach, boil an ounce of horse radish. to half a litre of buttermilk, for about one hour. Strain and apply on freckles.

For more stubborn freckles, mix together sixty grains of borax powder with five ounces of lemon juice. Apply the paste on the face at bedtime.

Another method is to dissolve four drams of borax in six drams of lemon juice and two ounces of hot water. Then put about two ounces of rose petals to soak in this solution for about one hour and then strain. After twenty four hours, add about two ounces of glycerine, shake and pat on freckles.

Any fruit or vegetable, containing a large amount of Vitamin C, can be used to bleach freckles.
