Skin treatments for Back, Chest, Arms,

Strawberry Mask
(for all skin types)
Mash 15 fresh strawberries with 1 cup sour cream. Apply to skin with cotton balls dipped in lukewarm water. Leave on for 10 minutes; rinse off in shower or bath.
Clay Mask
Add 2 tablespoons mineral water to 3 tablespoons fuller's earth (a claylike substance sold in drugstores). Blend in 1 tablespoon carrot juice. If needed, add a pinch more fuller's earth to create a soft clay. Apply to back, chest, or arms; leave on for 15 minutes. Rinse off with warm water in the shower.
Lavender Soak
(for all skin types)
To add to the bath: Mix together 2 tablespoons lavender flowers, 8 tablespoons bay leaves, 4 tablespoons fine oatmeal, and 4 tablespoons bran. Simmer with enough water to cover for 1 hour. Strain through cheesecloth. Add liquid to warm bath water.
Skin Softening Lotion
(for all skin types)
Peel one 3/4 pound cucumber and liq
uefy in a blender or food processor;
strain and retain the juice. Barely
warm 1/4 cup chamomile tea; add the
cucumber juice and 2 tablespoons
Glycerin, stirring well. Bottle when
cool and refrigerate. Apply to skin
after a bath or shower; do not rinse.
Hand Smoother
Mix a few drops of glycerin with a few drops of lemon oil. Massage into your hands before going to sleep.
Skin Nourishing Body Oil
Before a bath, rub vitamin E or olive oil into dry skin areas feet, knees, elbows, arms, and tops of shoulders. As the bathwater runs, spend a few minutes in the steamy environment of the bathroom to help the oil penetrate into the skin. Do not add additional oils to the bathwater the warmth of the water will further encourage the oil on your skin to penetrate flaky skin layers. Cleanse your skin and pat dry; follow up with a rich body lotion)
